Vineland Self Storage is a Class A climate-controlled self-storage development located in Los Angeles, California, adjacent to Hollywood Burbank Airport. The project replaces two aging multi-tenant industrial buildings with a modern self-storage facility designed to serve one of the San Fernando Valley's most densely populated residential and commercial corridors.

Strategically positioned near major transportation routes and adjacent to LaTerra's planned Burbank Aero Crossing mixed-use development, the facility will provide modern climate-controlled storage while navigating the unique challenges of a constrained urban infill site.

• Managing construction on a constrained urban infill site adjacent to active Metro rail infrastructure, requiring specialized safety protocols and continuous coordination with Metro personnel.

• Utilizing dedicated railroad watch personnel to support safe construction activities adjacent to active rail operations.

• Coordinating complex construction sequencing around active rail infrastructure while maintaining project safety, schedule, and quality objectives.

• Managing significant utility infrastructure improvements and relocations in coordination with the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (DWP).

• Managing an approximate $13.5 million construction hard cost.

Construction Approach

LT Building Corp is serving as General Contractor for the Vineland Self Storage development, managing all phases of construction from demolition through project completion. The team oversees construction operations, scheduling, quality control, subcontractor coordination, and site logistics.

Construction on the constrained urban infill site requires extensive coordination due to its proximity to active Metro rail operations and major utility infrastructure. LT is implementing specialized safety protocols, coordinating continuously with Metro personnel, utilizing dedicated railroad watch personnel, and sequencing construction around significant DWP utility improvements and relocations to safely advance the project through completion.
