Van Nuys Self Storage is a Class A climate-controlled self-storage development located in the heart of the San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles, California. The project replaced an obsolete warehouse and industrial facility with a modern, purpose-built self-storage property designed to serve one of Southern California's most densely populated residential markets.

Located adjacent to a major retail center, the development provides modern climate-controlled storage within a highly constrained urban environment. The project was designed to maximize site efficiency while navigating complex site, rail, and utility conditions.

Construction Approach

LT Building Corp served as General Contractor for the Van Nuys Self Storage development, overseeing construction from site preparation through project completion. The team managed construction operations, scheduling, quality control, subcontractor coordination, and overall project execution.

The constrained zero-lot-line site required careful planning and coordination due to its boundaries with City property, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers property, and an active rail corridor. LT also coordinated construction around significant DWP infrastructure and complex utility requirements while managing site logistics, safety, schedule, and quality through project completion.
