Project Overview


StoreLocal Storage Irving is an adaptive reuse and self-storage development located in Irving, Texas. The project transformed an existing commercial building into a modern Class A climate-controlled self-storage facility while incorporating new construction, covered RV parking, and extensive site improvements.


The redevelopment combines adaptive reuse with new construction to create a self-storage facility featuring 1,680 climate-controlled storage units, 68 outdoor storage units, indoor climate-controlled RV storage, exterior covered RV parking, and modern customer amenities. Strategically located along Interstate 635 in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, the project revitalized an underutilized commercial property into a modern self-storage asset.

Project Highlights

  • Managed the adaptive reuse and redevelopment of an existing commercial building into a Class A self-storage facility.

  • Coordinated adaptive reuse construction with new construction and extensive site improvements across the 6.97-acre development.

Construction Approach


LT Building Corp served as Construction Manager and Owner's Representative, providing leadership and oversight throughout preconstruction and construction. Acting as the owner's advocate, the team coordinated adaptive reuse planning, budgeting, scheduling, contractor management, quality assurance, and overall project execution.


The project required coordination of extensive adaptive reuse work, new construction, structural enhancements, building systems, RV storage, and significant site improvements. LT managed the redevelopment from preconstruction through completion and successfully delivered the project ahead of schedule and under budget.
